Team Characteristics

Slovenia was a virtually unknown team until the early 2010s, but after a blistering run at the 2015 European Championships and winning the silver medal, they have risen to join the ranks of the world's strongest countries in the four years since. Although they missed out on the Tokyo Olympics, there is a good chance they will make their first appearance at the next Paris Olympics.

Slovenia is doing quite well in this tournament. They have defeated strong opponents such as Poland, France, and Russia one after another, and as of the end of the fourth week, they are in third place overall and are within reach of advancing to the finals (Poland has lost to Slovenia in both of the past two European Championships, and this bad matchup showed up again this time (lol)). The outside hitter who is supporting Slovenia's strong performance isChevyDespite being only 202cm tall, he has incredible jumping power, with a maximum height of 367cm. He can hit high, sharp spikes, whether front or back.

High Jumper, Chevy

He played in the Italian Serie A for six seasons, and since last year he has been playing for the Polish club Rzeszow with coach Giuliani. He also played for Milan in Italy last season with Japan's Yuki Ishikawa.Kozamelnik, OutsideUrnarutoAlso keep an eye on veteran Urnal, who has been playing for a top club in the world for over 10 years and also has experience in beach volleyball, making him one of the best outside hitters to emulate, just like Poland's Kubiak.

Against Slovenia, we have no choice but to attack with our serves. If possible, we can disrupt the opposing ace, Cheby, with our serves and prevent him from joining the attack, or even get him off the court, which I think will make the game much easier. However, the other attackers are also at the world's best level, so we need to be careful not to get too distracted by Cheby. In the 2017 Nations League, we beat Slovenia at home, and in the absence of Ishikawa (and before Nishida was selected for the national team), but I think that this win was also the result of a lot of attacking with our serves, starting with Yanagida. Put your heart and soul into every ball!!!
