Meet our team
Last season, they finished 9th in A2, but were promoted again this season after receiving promotion rights to the Superliga from Reggio Emilia, who won the A2. They are also well known as the team that Yuki Ishikawa once belonged to in the 2018/19 season.
Since they were promoted from 9th place in A2, the players have been replaced completely since last season, so it is undeniable that they are a ragtag bunch. However, there are many players who were former teammates (especially former Modena players), so this should not be a big problem.
Siena does not have an absolute ace, and the team's three wing players (Pinali, Van Halderen, and Petrić) score almost equally well.
Personally, I like the opposite one.PinaliI want to keep an eye on him. He was a member of the Italian national team that won the World Championship this year, but he was a reserve for the national team, and he didn't have many opportunities to play even at Trento, where he was a member last season, so I'm looking forward to seeing him go wild at Siena. He's also a good-looking guy (lol).
Also the captainPetrichis an experienced Serbian outside player. In addition to attacking, he also supports the team mentally. In Modena, he was teammates with Yuki Ishikawa, and he often drove Ishikawa to and from school when he didn't have a car.
And the setterFinoliHe is as good as any other Argentine setter in terms of the number of balls he throws to the middle, especially the former Italian national team middle.MazzoneThey are tossing the ball aggressively, so if the quality of their combinations improves in the future, this line will become a formidable one.
The manager, Montagnani, is an Italian who previously managed Japan's Suntory Sunbirds.
