On Wednesday, April 16th (local time), the third match of the Italian Superlegago PO semi-finals between Perugia (Yuki Ishikawa) and Civitanova was held, and Civitanova won 2-3 (23-25, 25-20, 28-30, 25-22, 14-16) against Perugia, who were just one win away from advancing to the finals. This kept their hopes alive of a comeback and advancing to the finals.
After the match, Agustin Rosell of Perugia, who was Ishikawa Yuki's teammate at Milan, gave us a comment.
T: How do you feel looking back on the match?
Rosell: It was a tough match. I think we made some mistakes that we don't usually make. And they played well. I think that's why they won. But we have another semi-final on Sunday. We'll prepare for that.
T: How are you doing personally, Rosell?
Rosell: I'm doing well. I made some mistakes with my serve. But it's the team that matters. If everyone was in good shape, we could have played the volleyball we wanted to play, but that's just how sports are. Now I'm going to focus on the next game.
T: Ishikawa didn't perform as well as he should in today's match. What do you think about that?
Rosell: It's hard to come off the bench and play well. I personally hope he can play as well as he usually does on the court. But as I said before, it's very hard to come on as a substitute and change the flow of the game. When he comes on the court, it's in a difficult situation or when we're behind. But he's a great player, and I'm sure he'll get better and do well in the next game.
