On Wednesday, April 16th (local time), the third match of the Italian Superlegago PO semi-finals between Perugia (Yuki Ishikawa) and Civitanova was held, and Civitanova won 2-3 (23-25, 25-20, 28-30, 25-22, 14-16) against Perugia, who were just one win away from advancing to the finals. This kept their hopes alive of a comeback and advancing to the finals.
After the match, Perugia's Ishikawa Yuki gave us a comment.
T: How do you feel looking back on the match?
Ishikawa: It's disappointing that we lost in a full set, but more than that, I think the effectiveness of our attacks was low, so I would like to improve that in the next match.
T: You had a chance to start the fourth set, but you made a series of uncharacteristic mistakes and unfortunately had to return to the bench early. What happened?
Ishikawa: That's right. I've been making mistakes so I haven't had many opportunities to play in the last few games, so it's difficult, but I need to do my best to get good results when I do play.
T: Could it be that being away from matches has prevented you from regaining your senses?
Ishikawa: Well... it's hard to say.
T: The semi-finals continue from here. Please tell us your enthusiasm.
Ishikawa: We can't advance to the finals until we win three games, so we'll keep fighting hard until we win all three, then we'll take the next few days to correct the issues that came up today, and we have another match coming up soon, so we'll be in top condition and ready to go.
