China won two sets in a row against the Tokyo Olympic champions, the United States. The United States then replaced both outside hitters and took the game to a full set, but China won in the end. OH Li led the team with 24 points.
Serbia - France

Unlike the Nations League, Serbia, with a full team, defeated the host country France in a straight game. Boskovic, one of the world's number one opponents, scored the most points for both teams with 14 points.

Powerful Brazil dominated African representative Kenya, holding them to under 15 points in each set and finishing in just 56 minutes and under an hour. MB Carol and OP Rosamaria were the top scorers with 13 points each.

Turkey came back from 0-2 down to beat the Netherlands. In the fifth set, they also managed to turn the game around after allowing the Netherlands to take the lead early on. Turkey's opposite Vargas, who changed nationality from Cuba, played a major role, scoring 30 points.
