Match Report

Interview with analyst Arthur

Toshiki: How do you feel looking back on the match?

Artur: It was a frustrating match. It was hard to tell who was going to win each set until the end. For me, the key to the match was the third set. We were leading most of the way, but they gradually caught up and we lost the set. That gave them momentum in the fourth set. It was just one mistake in the third set. So I think that was the key. But both teams fought well in every set. We lost, so we have to say something about it, but I think it was a good match for everyone.

Toshiki: Unfortunately today was the last game of the season, but how do you feel looking back on this season as a whole?

Arthur: It was a great season for the team. We achieved our goals of winning the CEV Cup and reaching the top four in the Coppa Italia. And even though we finished in the league at the very least, it was definitely a great experience for me personally. It was a great experience to be in the Italian league as a foreign coach in the first place, and on top of that, my team, Chieri, had such a great season, so I couldn't ask for anything more.

Toshiki: What do you think of Coach Kent's performance this season?

Artur: Kent is a great person and a great coach. The key to our success this season is that we were a great group. All the players and staff contributed a lot to the team. We did a lot of work, but we were always together. I think this mutual support is what got us this far. I only have good things to say about Kent (laughs). He sparked our interest in Japanese culture and volleyball. I think that was good.
