Interview with Director Bregoli
Toshiki: How do you feel looking back on the match?
Coach Bregoli: I think the game was very close. We were too confused on easy digs, and the quality of our high ball sets when we could have attacked was not good. We gave the opponent too many free balls. We could have scored some attack points, but only one. In volleyball, if you make too many mistakes, especially against teams at the same level or higher, you can't win. The reason we lost was because we made too many mistakes.
Toshiki: Unfortunately today was the last game of the season, but how do you feel looking back on this season as a whole?
Coach Bregoli: It's hard to answer that right now. Right now I just feel defeated and frustrated because it was a game we could have won. We didn't play well in the second game at home, but tonight we played relatively well. But it was still stressful, especially mentally. It's been a great season, but it's disappointing that we didn't perform to our full potential at the end today. If that's the case, we could have at least made it to the tiebreaker.
Toshiki: What do you think of Coach Kent's performance this season?
Coach Bregoli: It was great. Kent is a great coach. He had a great relationship with the team. We were very happy, but unfortunately he is going back to Japan (without renewing his contract here). However, I understand that it is a family thing. It was great to work with him. He worked hard and was a great person.
