Toshiki's comment
Paris lost their first match in the quarterfinals.
Chaumont is a strong team that finished first in the regular season, but they had taken the match to a full set in our previous match, so I watched from the screen confident of victory.
We fought very well until the second set, but in the third and fourth sets we were defeated by consecutive breaks in the middle of the game.
In particular, Cardoso, who won the MVP, seemed to be really on the ball in the second half.
Miyaura's individual performance was not bad at all, and his spikes were quite good. However, he couldn't break the serve when it mattered. To begin with, he made a few too many serve errors.
Kai also came on as a substitute, but in this particular match he was unable to achieve the results he had hoped for in either offense or defense, especially struggling with serve reception.
However, we made some good plays as a team, and if we can continue to play the same kind of volleyball as we did in the first and second sets, I believe we have a chance of winning.
There is about a week until their next match, so I hope they can recover and win three games in a row to advance to the semi-finals!!
