Comments from Coach Kento Hayashi

It was a sold-out match, with so many fans that tickets were sold out before the match even began.
Scandicci is not a team that is good at reception, so we wanted to break them down with effective serves, but we allowed them to make some of their best receptions ever.
Antropova and Parrocchiare's performances were superb throughout the match.
There were two major points that determined the outcome: the effectiveness of the serve and the effectiveness of attacks out of the system.
Far from being effective, this team made many pointless, non-tactical serve errors, while Scandicci hit some great power serves.
It was also difficult to prevent a high set, and I think the reason we were unable to get a grip on the development of the game was that we kept missing the sharp, high-hitting attacks from Antropova and Štei without touching them.
This match reminded us of the importance of serve and block, and high sets. We have limited time until the match against Busto, but we will move forward without being afraid of changes.
Thank you for your support.
Toshiki's comment
I watched this match live.
Although we were able to take one set, the difference in the match felt like more than just the set count or point difference.
We knew that Scandicci had the upper hand when it came to the ability of their attackers, especially when it came to a pure high ball battle, so we wanted to break them down with effective serves and the subsequent blocks and defense, but it didn't work out.
Also, there were many times when Chieri was unable to attack properly from the center, which is his lifeline, because the combination did not work well.
Chieri's players were probably tired after playing in the CEV Cup, but the same was true for Scandicci, who were playing in the Champions League.
For now, I want them to perform at their best in the lead-up to the CEV Cup finals.
And also for the men's races at Milan and Monza who didn't win the title.
