Toshiki's comment
It was a spectacular defeat...
Trentino's serve and block were extremely powerful, leaving Milan with very little room to do what they wanted.
In particular, Trentino's powerful serves effectively blocked quick and pipe attacks from the center, forcing Milan into a difficult situation.
On the other hand, Trentino's serve reception was solid and Milano was unable to attack with their serves. The only one who dropped the serve reception was L Laurenzano of Trentino, but the problem was solved by replacing him with L Domenico, who was on the sidelines, and he did a good job.
It's great that the reserve liberos are also at a high level. Especially Milan's reserve libero Colombo is at a very tough level...
Ishikawa's performance as an individual wasn't that great, but I think it was good to see him smiling during the game.
Although we lost, we can only take a positive view that the fact that the game finished in straight sets meant that fatigue was kept to a minimum ahead of this weekend's Coppa Italia.
The Coppa Italia semi-finals are finally here. I'm excited to see if third time's a charm for the club and for Ishikawa personally, and if they can make it to the finals for the first time!
