Toshiki's Tweets

It was a game we wanted to win.

We had lost two consecutive matches against strong opponents, so we were hoping to win 3-0 or 3-1 against Poitiers, who were ranked lower than Paris, and get three points, but we ended up losing.

Overall, Paris lost a lot of points on attacks, including on their opponents' blocks. In particular, Paris had 8 blocks in the 5th set, while Poitiers had almost double that, 15, which was reflected in the results. Paris was especially caught by the side blockers.

I also think that Poitier was able to attack the serve better. Paris was defeated by the serve and block, where they were attacked with a serve and finished with a block. Both of Paris' two main players, OP Miyaura and OH Panu, were blocked five times, so this is something that needs to be fixed.

Also, Paris lost points three times because they returned free balls too close to the net. It was a waste. I want to reduce these kinds of small mistakes.

But as for Miyaura himself, it seems like he's finally shown some light in his serve, which he's struggled with in the past few matches, and in this match he had three service aces and many break points. It feels like it's been a while since we've seen him hitting such powerful serves. I hope he continues to hit powerful serves like he did in this match. That's just the way Miyaura is.

Well, this loss marks the third straight defeat for Paris. I want them to win again soon. It seems like something isn't going well for the team, so I hope they can get a good start in the next game.
