The results of the second day (September 21st) of the final tournament of the 2025 Men's Volleyball World Championships are as follows.
1st round (Round of 16)
ブルガリア – ポルトガル
3-0 (25-19, 25-23, 25-13)
プールE1位通過で勢いに乗るブルガリアとプールD2位で勝ち上がったポルトガルとのヨーロッパ対決。
第1セットはOHニコロフとOHアスパルホフが安定した得点力を見せて25-19でブルガリアが先取。第2セットはポルトガルがOHマルケスのアタックやOHロレンソのサービスエースなどで喰らいつくも、ブルガリアが高いブロックとOHニコロフの攻撃力で25-23で接戦を取り切ります。第3セットはブルガリアがOHアタナソフの3本を含む計6本のサービスエースなどでポルトガルを圧倒して25-13と大差で取って、ブルガリアが3-0で勝利し準々決勝へと駒を進めました。
アメリカ – スロベニア
3-1 (19-25, 25-22, 25-17, 25-20)
プールD1位のアメリカとプールE2位のスロベニア。どちらもパリ五輪出場国ながら今大会はメンバーを入れ替えて臨んているチーム同士の試合となりました（特にアメリカ）。
第1セットはOPシュテルンとOHムヤノヴィッチの決定力が光ったスロベニアが19-25で危なげなく先取。しかし第2セットはOPガルシアのアタックとOHチャンプリンのサービスエースなどで得点を重ねたアメリカが25-22で取り切ると、第3セットはOPガルシアがブロック4本、エース3本と大活躍して25-17でアメリカが危なげなく連取。長いラリーから始まった第4セットはそのまま終盤まで競った展開となりますが、終盤にOPガルシアが2本のサービスエースを決めて25-20で取り切りアメリカが3-1で勝利しました。
