At the World Men's Volleyball Championship, Japan must overcome the Polish wall to win a medal.

September 12, 2025

The key man is Kai Yuto

For Japan to beat Poland, they will need to perform beyond their current capabilities, and I personally believe that the key to achieving this is Kai, a 200cm tall outside hitter.

Kai dominated the only match against Poland this year where they won a set. Although Poland had a team made up of players who were second-string players at the time, Kai performed brilliantly against Poland, scoring 15 attack points (621 conversion rate, 3 tries) and serving 3 aces.

In the previous send-off match, he made a significant contribution to the comeback victory in the second day's match against Bulgaria, and was also a key player in taking the match against Italy to a full set as a substitute player.

However, his position as outside hitter is occupied by the established duo of Ishikawa Yuki and Takahashi Ai, so it will be difficult for him to play in the starting lineup.

However, I believe that Kai's performance is essential for the current Japanese national team to beat Poland and climb even higher from here, and I believe he is capable of doing so.

Keep an eye out for the "Kai Cannon" to explode at the World Volleyball Championships!!
