Recently, the following post was made on the social media account of Volleyball World, which handles broadcasting and media outreach for the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB), to commemorate one month until the Men's World Championship.

As anyone who followed the Japanese men's volleyball team this year knows, although he is registered with the 2025 Japanese men's national team, he has declared that he will take a break from national team activities this year. In fact, he has not participated in any training camps or matches for the Japanese national team this year.
He is also registered as a participant in the World Championships (wide roster).
The Volleyball World representative probably chose him for this advertisement because he was on this list. Nishida is a very popular player overseas, and it makes sense that they would want to use a Japanese player as the center for an advertisement for the World Championships in the Philippines.
However, Nishida's registration is likely an insurance policy in case Miyaura, who will be in the starting lineup this year in the same position, is injured, and unless such an emergency occurs, Nishida will not be participating in this year's World Championships. In fact, he was not seen at the Satsumasendai training camp that started the other day.
Unfortunately, with these official images released, some fans are now hoping for Nishida's return.
I would like Volleyball World to reflect a little on the fact that they placed a player who has an extremely low chance of participating in the tournament in the advertisement, and especially in the center of it (didn't the people who made it and checked it watch the Nations League?).
By the way, I doubt that the French guy Ngape (Nugapet) on the bottom right of the photo or the Dutch guy Nimil on the bottom left will appear either lol.
