Toshiki's Tweets
As expected, the top team was strong.
Tourcoing was superior in attack, block, serve, and receive. In the first set, they were leading 20-14, which would have been enough to take the set, but Paris' serve reception was disrupted and they had already allowed the opposition to take the lead.
Paris lost too many points on attack and serve. In terms of errors, Tourcoing lost 9 points in the third set, while Paris lost 28 points, more than three times as many. There was no way they could win.
Miyaura himself also lost a lot of points in the match. He was hitting spikes at the beginning of the third set, but it would be nice if he could keep up this performance throughout the match. Miyaura's signature service ace was also absent in this match. As a team, he was not able to serve effectively.
From watching the games so far, it seems that when Paris concedes consecutive goals, they tend to concede more and more. This is something they really need to improve.
However, the success rate of the two middle players was very good, so if the serve reception improves, I think we can achieve an ideal development where we can score mainly with the middle players. I hope they do their best.
Tourcoan's serve reception was very solid, and his serve and block were very effective. MVP Kukartsev also had a very stable attack effectiveness rate of 42.851 TP3T while hitting 28 attacks. It was no surprise that he was in the lead.
This was Paris' first straight-set loss of the season. Content-wise, it was their worst match so far. Their next match will be against Nantes-Les-Zay, who are also undefeated and in second place. With a match like this, it's inevitable that they'll lose in straight sets again, so I hope they'll improve their serve reception, make some powerful shots from the middle, and attack aggressively with their serves to take control of the match!!
