The Netherlands was selected to participate in the VNL as an advance team after China, which was originally scheduled to participate, withdrew. They were once one of the strong teams, but have not achieved much in recent years.
The outside hitters are Tenstra Jr. and Vansfey. Tenstra Jr. is a young player with excellent balance between offense and defense, even though he is only 20 years old, and he was on the court in yesterday's match against Russia.
