In the 18th round of the Polish Men's Volleyball League (Przlyga), Nysza, which is in 6th place and includes Miyaura Kento, played away against Belchatov, who is in 8th place, on Friday, December 30th local time, and won 3-2 (20-25, 21-25, 25-16, 25-21, 15-12).
After the match, Miyaura Kento gave us a comment.
--How do you feel looking back on today's game?
Miyaura: In the first and second sets, how can I put it, we weren't in a good flow and were easily taken, but in the third set, Rafal (Bušek) took over and our reception became more stable, and our serve worked really well, so we were able to take the third and fourth sets. In the fifth set, we started off at 0-5 with Bieniek's serve, but we kept breaking the serve and caught up, and eventually we were able to come from behind and win, so I think our strength is in controlling the game with our serve.
-OP Ventara, who won the MVP, performed even better today than usual.
Miyaura: Yes. I think he was in good form from the start of the first set today. He's been in good form recently, and Ventara was in good form from the first set, but it felt like he took it up another level at the end, and from the outside I thought it was amazing, a great performance.
--Miyaura, who plays in the same position, will have to step up his game from next year onwards so he doesn't lose to you.
Miyaura: That's right. When I see things like that, it inspires me and makes me want to work harder.
- Although we were able to win the last game of 2022, the league will continue next year. Please say a few words about the remaining season next year.
Miyaura: We will be playing against Radom in the new year, so we will do our best. Or rather, we want to win by playing to our strengths. From now on, the league will be a close race, so I think each game will be very important in terms of advancing to the playoffs, so I hope we can bring momentum to the team and win with the unity we showed today.
