Match Report

In the first set, Nisa scored points with spikes from OH Gerdjot in the early stages, but struggled with quick shots and blocks from Lublin's Nowakowski and Jendric, allowing their opponents to take a 6-9 lead.

However, OH Gerjot's serve led to consecutive breaks to tie the score at 10-10, and from there the game became a close one.

However, the setters' tossing work was in contrast, with Nysa's Zukowski concentrating the tosses on OH Gerjot and OP Ventala, while Lublin's Komenda showed good distribution of the ball in the middle.

With the score at 21-20, Nisa brought in relief server Miyaura, who used his powerful serves to break down their opponents and extend their lead to 22-20, a two-point difference.

However, an ace from OP Farina put Lublin at 23-24 and the match went straight to deuce.

Nisa's Gerdjot continued to hold on with his spikes, but Lublin's OH Wlodarczyk also had strong finishing power, and in the end Nisa's OP Ventala was caught in a block, giving Lublin the first set 27-29.

In the second set, Nysa started the match with OH Buszek (Poland) instead of OH Kwasowski.

However, in this set too, OH Wlodarczyk and MB Nowakowski's spikes were easy to land early on, and Lublin took a 10-14 lead until the middle of the set.

After that, with a serve from OH Gerjot and a block from Zukowski, Nisa closed the gap to just one point at 16-17, and again brought in relief server Miyaura to try to tie the score, but this time there was no break.

From there, Lublin extended their lead again to 17-21 with an ace from MB Jendric, and finally an ace from OH Wlodarczyk made it 20-25, giving Lublin the set.

In the third set, Nisa, with no other options, started the game with OH El Graoui (Morocco) in place of OH Busek and MB Jankowski (Poland) in place of MB Zebra.

Early on, OH El Graoui scored with a spike and MB Jankowski with a block, giving Nisa a large lead of 12-7.

Nisa's momentum continued after that, as MB Jankowski scored his third block point of the set to extend the lead to 23-14, a further nine points.

From here, OP Farina's serves repeatedly broke OH Gerjot's serve, pushing Lublin to 23-19, but an attack from OP Ventala gave Nisa a set point, and finally relief server Miyaura scored an ace just on the sideline to make it 25-19 and Nisa took the set back.

In the fourth set, Nisa wanted to keep up the momentum, but OP Ventala was caught in the opponent's block twice in the early stages, giving Lublin a 4-7 lead.

Nisa then replaced Ventala with Miyaura as the opposite, and Miyaura immediately scored a spike. Then, with a block from setter Zukowski and an ace from Gerjot, Nisa tied the score at 8-8.

However, from then on, Nisa struggled with the opponent's serves and was unable to score any attacks, while Lublin's OH Wlodarczyk scored a lot of spikes and before they knew it, Lublin had a big lead of 13-20.

Nisa then closed the gap to two points at 22-24 with a block from OH Gerdjot, but in the end, a spike from Lublin's OP Farina bounced off Nisa's block to make the score 22-25, and Nisa lost to Lublin 1-3.

The MVP was Lublin captain OH Wlodarczyk, who scored 23 points (1 serve and 3 blocks) with an attack success rate of 571 TP3T.

Miyaura scored two points (one on serve) with an attack success rate of 20%.

With this, Nisa is currently in 4th place with a total of 5 wins, 3 losses and 16 points.

The next match will be held on Sunday, November 13th at 8:30pm local time (4:30am the next day in Japan) at home against third-placed Xabierce, the team where Taichiro Koga (currently with the Tokyo Great Bears) used to play for three seasons.

Thoughts etc.

On that day, Nisa's match was scheduled to start at 17:30 and Ishikawa's match against Milan was scheduled to start at 19:00, so I thought "Since we're playing against a lower-ranked team, we can win 3-0 and just make it in time for the Milan match!", but that wasn't the case (laughs).

As expected, Nisa's serve reception is weak.

OH Gerjot once again put in a high performance on the day, scoring 21 points in attack with a success rate of 64%, but on the other hand his serve reception success rate was only 37%, resulting in him conceding 3 points.

OH El Graoui had a serve receive success rate of 181 TP3T and conceded 3 points...

There's no way we can win like this...

Also, OP Ventara was blocked five times, which was not good.

Miyaura looked on a roll after coming on to replace the struggling Ventara, and there was hope that today would be the day for Miyaura to achieve his first win on the court as the opposite, but that day was not yet to come.

Miyaura himself wasn't able to score a shot from there either.

I know that Nisa's serve reception isn't very good, so I need to overcome that and win with my serves, but I wasn't able to do that well on this day.

Except for the third set, Lublin's serve reception was very solid, giving libero Watten in particular too much work.

He was a wattle worker.

Setter Komenda also made aggressive tosses to the middle, and Nowakowski, despite being from the middle, made 18 attacks and scored 13, a success rate of 72%, which was impressive.

By the way, this Nowakowski is not the same Nowakowski as Piotr Nowakowski (currently in Warsaw), who was the long-time midfielder for the Polish national team.

However, he also has experience playing for the B national team, and it would not be surprising if he were selected for the A national team in another country.

Poland has a lot of talented players who are unknown worldwide (laughs).

Lublin's Nowakowski has a thicker and more muscular chest than Piotr, so I've taken to calling him "Broad-chested Novak" (laughs).

Novaco (center) with a broad chest. He's very handsome.

Come to think of it, OH Wlodarczyk, the MVP, is also a player with experience playing for the B national team.

This player also played for Padua in Italy in the 2020/21 season (although this was the season before Ishikawa left and Takahashi joined, so there was no overlap with them).

Anyway, Nisa, especially Gerjot, good luck with your serve reception!

So I would love to see a victory at Miyaura Opposite sometime this season!!

I am also planning to watch the next match against Zabierce in person!!!
