In the 28th round of the Polish Men's Volleyball League (Przlyga), Nysa (8th place), of which Miyaura Kento plays, played against Gdansk (6th place) away on Sunday, March 12th local time, and lost 0-3 (17-25, 18-25, 22-25).
After the match, NISA's Miyaura Kento gave us a comment.
-How do you feel looking back on today's game?
Miyaura: As a team, the first thing is our serve. We have the serve as our weapon, but our serves were concentrated on Perry (the opposing libero) and we made a lot of mistakes. I think the condition of our serves changes depending on the day, but I think there were some areas that we could have fixed, so I think that's something to reflect on and something that didn't go well. We also lost a lot of points in terms of reception. We had some good serves, but that was not good after all. Personally, we lost one point on a spike and one point on our serve. In particular, with regards to the spike, to be honest, the toss was difficult, it was short and even if I hit a cross, it was blocked. But I think that the part where I made a mistake there was not good. Regarding the serve, I feel that we were not good today because we were not able to get a break. In the third set, I made a mistake when my teammates were making mistakes, so I took a risk, but I think I could have controlled the accuracy a little more.
- Regarding your serves, did the fact that the venue was much larger than those of the other teams (while most venues can accommodate around 2,000-3,000 people, the Gdansk venue can accommodate over 10,000) have any impact?
Miyaura: Personally I didn't really feel it, but as a team we made a lot of mistakes, so I think that was a factor.
-By the way, the Ergo Arena in Gdansk is also the venue for this year's Nations League Final.
Miyaura: That's right. Personally, I think it's a really easy venue to perform in. I really feel like it's a great gymnasium.
-Then please come back again for the Nations League Final.
Miyaura: First of all, I have to work hard because there's a competition for a position on the national team.

--Today's loss has denied you a shot at advancing to the playoffs on your own, and there are two games remaining in the regular season, both of which are against strong teams. Do you have any words for you looking ahead to those games?
Miyaura: But I think that just one win will bring us a lot closer to the playoffs, so we just need to focus on the next two games and do everything we can. I think this result comes after doing our best, so I hope we can do that well first.
