Match Report
In the early stages of the first set, Nysa scored side outs mainly through OH Kfasowski and OP Ventala, while Jastrzebski scored side outs mainly through OH Klewno and OP Boyer, and the match continued with the score remaining close at 10-10.
In the middle of the match, Nisa managed to break with a block from OH Kwasovski and a service ace to put them ahead at 15-12, but Jastrzciebski also managed to break with a quick from MB Embaje after an aggressive serve, tying the score at 19-19.
With the score at 22-21 in the final minutes of the game, Nisa brought in relief server OP Miyaura, who delivered a powerful serve and OH Gerjot's spike scored to put them two points ahead, 23-21.
Miyaura's next serve was an ace, putting Nisa on the first match point, and finally OH Gerjot scored a high spike to give Nisa the set, 25-22.
In the second set, Nisa's OP Ventala was caught by a block from MB Embaje at the start, but he himself was blocked by Jastrzebski's OH Klewno, and after that there were side outs and the game was again close at 6-6.
After that, Nisa got breaks with service aces and blocks from MB Jankowski, and quicks and blocks from MB Embaje for Jastrziejuski, but the score remained the same and the score progressed to 13-13.
However, Jastrzcienzki made consecutive blocks to give the ball a three-point lead at 13-16.
With a block from S. Zukowski, Nyssa managed to get within one point at 17-18, but on the next serve from S. Toniutti, Nyssa was unable to get a side out and allowed Jastrzciebski to break five times in a row, putting her at 17-24 and forcing her to reach set point.
Finally, OH Fornal scored a spike to give Jastrzebski the set, 18-25.
In the third set, MB Zerba started off by blocking OH Fornal, and then with an opponent's mistake on S Zukowski's serve and a block by OH Gerjot, Nisa extended her lead to 5-1 with three consecutive breaks.
After that, OP Ventala's spike and MB Jankowski's block extended the lead to 12-6, but immediately afterwards, OH Fornal's serve from Jastrzebski hit the Nisa receiver, and they quickly tied the score at 12-12 with five consecutive breaks, including three aces.
From there, Nysa continued to compete for side outs, with OH Kwasowski and Jastrzebski with Simla (Poland) coming on as a substitute.
However, towards the end of the match, OP Ventala was caught twice by the opponent's block, narrowing the lead to 21-23, and then a spike from substitute Hadrava (Czech Republic) was successful, giving Jastrzebski the set, 23-25.
In the fourth set, Jastrzcienbski broke through early on with a block from MB Gradil and a spike from OH Fornal to take a 4-7 lead.
While Nysa was still unable to get a break, Jastrzciebski scored one break after another with a block from OH Simla, an ace from OP Hadrava, and a spike from OH Fornal, and extended his lead to 9-17.
Nisa's OP Ventala scored with spikes and blocks to narrow the gap to 14-18, but Jastrzciebski then got a break with a block from MB Embaje to bring the score back to 14-22.
With OH Simla's attack going in at the end, Jastrzciembski took the set 16-25 and went on to beat Nysa 1-3.
MVP: OH Tomas Fornal (17 points (3 serves, 1 block), attack success rate 521 TP3T, serve reception success rate 131 TP3T)
Miyaura Kento contributed with one point with his serve.
With this, Nisa now has a total of 11 wins, 10 losses and 34 points, remaining in 8th place.
The next match will be against Olsztyn, who are in 7th place, away from home on Friday, January 27th at 17:30 local time (1:30 the next day Japan time).
The report for the first half is here:
Thoughts etc.
In this match, Nisa's members were the same as usual, but they changed the OH rotation position.
Until now, Gerjot was at number 5, closer to the opposite, and Kfasovski was at number 2, closer to the setter, but this time they were reversed.
Usually, the second player receives serves more often in the middle, so a player who is good at serving is often placed in that position. It is not common for Gerjot, who has serious concerns about serving, to be placed in that position, but the manager must have had some intention behind it.
I don't know if this was the result of my efforts, but the first set went really well.
Although her opponent sometimes threw her off with her serves, Nisa was also able to attack with her serves just as well or even more, which was good.
In addition, the height of Ventala and Gergiot was well shown, and especially when the opposing blocker was 183cm tall Toniutti, Gergiot was practically hit without any blocking.
Miyaura's serve, which paved the way in the final stages of the match, was also fantastic!
This time, Gerjot lifted him up properly after the service ace (laughs).
However, from the second set onwards, they were unable to take any sets and ended up losing the match.
In the second and third sets, both teams were playing well until halfway through, but then one low-tension situation resulted in both teams allowing a large number of breaks and then losing the lead.
In the previous match against Zaksa they lost a set in a similar manner, so a big challenge for Nisa may be to avoid losing four or five points in a row like this.
Last time it was Janusz and Silivka, this time it's Toniutti and Fornal.
Both times, we were defeated by the setter and the number 2 outside player, and by both the jump floater and the jump serve (laughs).
On the other hand, we have the ability to make up for up to three consecutive losses with our serves, so it will be important to be able to make adjustments when we find ourselves in a bad situation.
There were also some scenes where we were still not able to work out the small details, like who was going to take the short serve, or how to set up the second serve after the first one fell apart and turn it into an attack, so if we can fix those areas, I think we will become an even stronger team!!
However, Ventara's performance in this game was not so good, with only 7 blocks allowed, so I think it would have been fine for him to be replaced by Miyaura midway through the game.
It's been a while since we've seen Miyaura's cleats in a match, so I'm looking forward to seeing it next time.
Even though they lost, Miyaura showed his true colors by scoring consecutive service aces against the top teams, Saksa and Jastrzebski.
We have two upcoming matches against teams close in the standings, so we want to win them all, get six points and ensure our place in the playoffs.
I continue to support you!!
We are planning to cover the next match against Olsztyn on site!
thank you!!
