On Sunday, May 4th (local time), the second match of the Polish Prslyga PO third place deciding match between Warsaw and Jastrziebuski Wenger was held, with Warsaw winning 3 - 1 (28-30, 26-24, 25-21, 25-20) against Jastrziebuski. Having won the first match, Warsaw has now won two matches in a row, and is now just one win away from third place.
After the match, we spoke to OH Luciano Visentin, an Argentine national team player who plays for Jastrzębski Wenger.
T: Unfortunately you lost 1-3 today, but how do you look back on this match?
Visentin: To be honest, I don't think we're in the best shape right now, even though it's a very important time in the league. But we have to go back to training and turn this situation around. There's still work to be done, and the Champions League is still to come. We'll start training again tomorrow and try to play better and try to win.
T: What do you think is the key to the third race?
Visentin: I think it's the team. We have a really good team, with top players in every position. I think we've played good volleyball throughout the long season. Now we need to find ourselves again, first as individuals and then as a team. I think the only way is to keep practicing, and we will.
T: How do you feel looking back on this season so far?
Visentin: Volleyball? Or your personal life?
T: Then please include both.
Visentin: This season was the hardest for me because I lost my father in February. So I can say this season was the hardest. But it was also the best season, just in terms of volleyball. We are really happy, me and my teammates, in a top-level team. I always dreamed of playing in these games, and four years ago I was playing in the Polish second division, so I always thought, "I wish I could play in Przliga one day." And now I'm actually playing. It's like a dream come true for me, and it was also a dream to play in the final four of the Champions League. So I want to work hard for that.
There are rumors that Visentin will be transferring to the Tokyo Great Bears of the SV League next season, but he evaded the question about next season by saying "no comment."
