On Sunday, October 13th local time, in the third round of the first half of the Italian Superlegga, Cisterna, the team that Tarumi Yume plays for, played against Piacenza and lost 1-3 (22-25, 25-19, 20-25, 23-25).
Piacenza won the first set without any problems, mainly thanks to OH Marr (Canada) and OP Romano (Italy), but in the second set, Cisterna took the lead with a spike from OH Ramon (Spain) and a block from MB Mazzone (Italy). However, OH Marr continued to score spikes with a high success rate, and Piacenza won the third set. In the fourth set, Piacenza made a comeback in the final stages with a service ace from OH Marr and continued to win.
Cisterna's OH Tarumi entered the court on serve late in the third set and then scored a back attack to score his first point in the Italian league.
It was painful that Cisterna couldn't win despite scoring 13 blocks in the 4th set. I think they could have won the 4th set, but they just needed one more. OP Fall (France) was not in good form, and OH Ramon and OH Bayram (Turkey) were doing well, but on the other hand, the team made a few more attacks and missed opportunities. It was a waste. OH Bayram showed several super digs in this match, so I hope he continues to do his best in the future.
Tarumi was able to score his first league goal, but just like last time, he was used in the final stages of a set when the opponent was trailing by a large margin, so I hope he will be used in situations where he can change the flow of the game.
I think that the winning team, Piacenza, was not in good condition, but they were a team with many experienced veterans, so they fought well even under those circumstances. MB Simon (Cuba)'s quick shot at match point in the fourth set was impressive. A setter who can choose a quick shot at match point and a middle shot that decides it is justice.
By the way, the attack success rate of Piacenza's S Brizard in this match was 100% (4/4) lol.
