Yume Tarumi made her official Italian debut but her team lost in a full set.

On Sunday, October 6th local time, in the second round of the first half of the Italian Superlegga, Cisterna, the team that Tarumi Yume plays for, played against Verona and lost 2-3 (25-20, 18-25, 25-21, 14-25, 13-15).

Cisterna took the first and third sets thanks to the efforts of their two main players, OP Fall (France) and OH Ramon (Spain), and was in the lead. However, OH Keita (Mali) and MB Dzinger (Australia) scored points in the fourth set, and Verona won the fifth set by a large margin. OH Keita scored 10 points in the fifth set alone, and Verona won the close match.

OH Tarumi made his debut in the Italian League at the end of the fourth set when the score was already far behind. He had his first attack, but unfortunately was caught by the opponent's three-man block. I wanted to make that.

I thought Tarumi might have more opportunities to play after watching the preseason matches, but it seems difficult for him to start at this point. OH Ramon struggled with serve reception in this match, but he has excellent offensive power, and his opposite number, OH Bayram (Turkey), has good numbers on both offense and defense.

Still, I want to see Tarumi play on the court for a long time, so I hope she does her best. I think the key will be whether she can make her presence felt, especially in serving and receiving.

I have the impression that Verona has become more like Verona since OH Keita joined the team.
