Poland - USA
3-2(25-23, 25-27, 14-25, 25-23, 15-13)
After a fierce battle in full sets, Poland defeated the undefeated USA to advance to the finals for the first time in 48 years. Poland suffered accidents, including an injury to L Zatorski in the middle of the third set (but continued playing afterwards) and S Janusz also injured his back and went to the bench, and the USA, who scored points mainly through OP Anderson, took the lead in the game until the middle of the fourth set. However, OH Leon turned the tide with a performance that included two service aces, and in the fifth set, S Womachi used his middle blocker to skillfully attack in a variety of ways to keep the USA at bay, and Poland won the game. Poland is aiming for its first gold medal in 48 years since the 1976 Montreal Games. The USA, who was sadly defeated, will compete in the third place match for the bronze medal, their first since the 2016 Rio Games.
France - Italy
3-0(25-20, 25-21, 25-21)
France, cheered on by the fans, won in straight sets against Italy. France kept Italy at bay with their solid defense and powerful serves, and continued to dominate the match. OH Klebno led both teams with 15 points. France has reached the final for the second consecutive tournament since the Tokyo Olympics, and will face Poland in a bid to win their second consecutive title. Meanwhile, Italy, who missed out on their first final appearance in two tournaments, will face off against the United States for the bronze medal.
