Poland, ranked number one in the world, won a fierce battle against Brazil and advanced to the quarterfinals with two consecutive wins. OH Leon was the most active player on both teams with 26 points. Poland's substitute MB Huber also showed great performances, changing the flow of the game. Brazil's substitute OH Adriano also showed great performances with 18 points, but suffered their second consecutive loss in the tournament.

OP Nishida, who gave the team momentum with five service aces in the first set, scored the most points for both teams with 21, while MB Onodera played well on both offense and defense, scoring 12 points. Veteran OH Conte played a heroic game for Argentina with 17 points, but they were unable to win and suffered their second consecutive loss.
