In the final round of the 2024 Men's Volleyball Nations League, the Japanese national team faced France in the final on Sunday, June 30th (local time) and lost 1-3 (23-25, 25-18, 23-25, 23-25).
As a result, Japan finished the tournament as runners-up.
This marks the team's second consecutive podium finish, following their third-place finish last year, and their first silver medal at a major international competition in 47 years, since the 1977 World Cup.
