In the third match of the third place playoff match of the Italian Men's Volleyball League, Yuki Ishikawa's Milan team faced Trentino on Wednesday, April 24th (local time) and won 3-0 (25-22, 25-23, 25-14).
After the match, we spoke with Milan's Agustin Rosell (middle blocker, Argentina).
Post-match interview with Rosell
Toshiki: How do you feel looking back on today's game?
Rosell: It was a great match. Everyone was great. We played at a very high level, especially in the third set. Of course the first and second sets were good too, so I'm very happy with this win. We'll finish this match on Saturday and move on to the Champions League.
TOSHIKI: What was the difference between the previous two matches, which went to full sets, and today's match, which you won in straight sets?
Rosell: Today's game... it's very difficult to describe, but everyone played at a high level today and played a great game. Although the opponent may not have played their best game. On Saturday, it will be another tough game, not like today's, but like the first and second games. We have to prepare for that kind of game.
Toshiki: There was a moment during the third set when things got heated and you received a yellow card. What happened at that point?
Rosell: It was a little thing during the game. It was during the game and the game is over now, so I'm happy now. Sometimes I overreact. I get like that during the game, but I'm happy that I won today.
Toshiki: What do you want to focus on most in the next match?
Rosell: First of all, we will attack with our serve, because the serve is very important. And then defense, especially block defense. We will try to do those things. And then we will try to get the side out every time. Volleyball is a multifaceted sport. You have to do it all to win. That's the beauty of this sport.
