In the quarterfinals of the men's French Cup volleyball, Paris, where Miyaura Kento and Kai Yuto play, played against Tours on Wednesday, February 14th (local time), and lost 0-3 (18-25, 24-26, 21-25).
Interview with Yuto Kai
T: How do you feel looking back on the match?
Kai: As expected, we weren't in a good flow and there were many occasions when the opponents picked up the ball, so I think we weren't able to play the kind of volleyball we wanted to play.
T: What do you think was lacking?
Kai: I think the momentum shifted to the other team when we needed to score a point but couldn't, and that was the biggest reason we lost.
T: There were times in today's game where you played in the opposite position. Do you regularly practice this?
Kai: I didn't practice much, so things didn't go well. I want to become a player who can play anywhere.
T: Do you feel any resistance to playing the opposite position?
Kai: There are certainly some parts that are difficult, but I don't have any particular reservations about it.
T: What did you think of Miyaura's play today?
Kai: We were scoring a lot of points, so I think we were in really good condition.
T: Unfortunately, we lost the cup match, but there are still league matches remaining. Please tell us your enthusiasm for the remaining league matches.
Kai: First of all, I think I will have many opportunities to serve, so I would like to focus on hitting service aces and breaks.
