We bring you an interview with Kamil Semeniuk (Poland), the outside hitter for Perugia, who won the Italian men's volleyball Coppa Italia.
T: How are you feeling now?
Semeniuk: I'm so happy. I still can't believe it, but I'm sure I'll go home and sit on my couch and relive all the great things we accomplished this weekend. I think everyone on the team is very happy with the results we achieved.
T: How did you feel about the two games this weekend?
Semeniuk: It was tough. Yesterday, we had a tough match against Milan, which went to five sets. But we were lucky because Monza also played five sets (in the semifinal yesterday) and they were not in top form. I think they were tired and we were a bit tired after the match against Milan. We gave it our all. Sometimes our bodies didn't listen to us, but our minds and above all the so many fans who came here gave us strength in this very important moment. We were able to step up a gear and beat our rivals. It's fantastic to win the Coppa Italia. I think all of us are very happy with the result and we should be proud of what we have achieved.
T: Last season, the "tragedy" began with this Coppa Italia...
Semeniuk: Yes, that's right. So winning the Coppa Italia is a step forward. We're celebrating now, but we have to get back to normal. The league is still going on and we're going to keep fighting for the Scudetto. I think Perugia has the ability to win everything that's in front of us. We'll be back in the Champions League next season. So we'll just celebrate now, then we'll go back to training and keep fighting in the league.
