Match report
In the first set, MB Wetter's spikes gave Paris a 5-2 lead early on, and OP Miyaura's spikes and OH Panou's blocks further increased the lead to 9-3. After that, S Ossar skillfully distributed the ball and made side-outs to keep Paris in the lead at 14-8. From there, OP Miyaura's service aces extended the lead to 17-10, and in the final stages, OP Miyaura also scored a service ace, giving Paris the first set point at 24-18. Finally, MB Marcet scored a spike to give Paris the set at 25-20.
In the second set, Paris again took a big lead at the beginning with a spike from MB Wetter and a block from OH Panou to take a 7-2 lead. In the middle of the set, a block from MB Marcet and a spike from OH Panou put them ahead at 16-10. Tourcoing then closed the gap to 16-13 with a block from MB Fasterand and an ace from OP Kurkatzev, but then mistakes continued and Paris again widened the gap to 21-15. Finally, a serve error from Tourcoing made it 25-18 and Paris took this set as well.
In the third set, Tourcoing took the lead from the beginning, 3-6, thanks to a service ace from substitute OP Lavigne (France). After that, OH Rodriguez's spikes and other efforts widened the gap to 6-12. Paris brought on OH Kai and looked for an opportunity, but Tourcoing steadily gained points with spikes from OH Quiroga and OH Rodriguez to maintain a 12-20 lead. A final serve error from Paris made it 17-25, and Tourcoing took the set.
In the fourth set, Tourcoing took the lead at 4-6 thanks to an ace from OH Quiroga and a block from MB Rohrig. Paris also managed to tie the score at 8-8 with a block from MB Wetter, but Tourcoing quickly extended the lead to 9-12 thanks to a spike from OH Quiroga. Tourcoing then maintained the lead at 16-20 with a block from MB Fasterand, heading into the final minutes. A service error from Paris made the score 20-25, and Tourcoing took the set.
In the fifth set, OP Miyaura's spikes and blocks gave Paris a 3-0 lead from the start. OP Miyaura and MB Marce's spikes also led to a side out, and the court changed with Paris leading 8-5. After that, OH Panou's spikes led to a break, widening the gap to 12-7, and finally Tourcoing's mistake made it 15-10, giving Paris the set.
The result was a 3-2 victory for Paris Saint-Germain over Tourcoing.
