Match Report
In the first set, Tours took a 3-6 lead thanks to spikes from OH Poton and MB Leandro. OP Faganas' spikes and others put Tours at 5-12. Paris narrowed the gap to 11-15 thanks to spikes from OH Panou and blocks from MB Jurkovics, but then mistakes from Paris put Tours back in the lead at 11-18. At 12-18, OH Kai made his French league debut as a relief server, but was unable to break through. Towards the end, OH Panou's block and an ace from OP Miyaura put Paris on the lead at 19-22, but in the end, OH Poton's spike was successful and Tours took the set 25-20.
In the second set, spikes from OP Miyaura and OH Panou put Paris in the lead at 5-2 early on. However, spikes from MB Leandro and OH Mendes put Tours back in front at 7-8. Then Paris' S Mottapaes was forced to leave the game due to injury, and a service ace from S Coric gave Tours an 8-11 lead. After that, Paris took the lead again at 13-12 with a spike from OP Miyaura, but Tours broke with a spike from OH Poton and took the lead again at 15-17. In the final stages, a service ace from OH Mendes and a block from MB Parkinson gave Tours four consecutive breaks at 18-24, bringing the set point, and finally OH Poton scored a spike to take the set at 19-25.
In the third set, Tours took the lead at 5-2 with a spike from OP Miyaura and two consecutive service aces early on. Tours also scored consecutive points with a service ace from OP Faganas, tying the score at 5-5, but a spike and block from MB Maasse gave Paris Paris the lead at 11-8. After that, Tours made a series of serve errors, and the score remained unchanged at 19-16 as the match progressed. However, MB Leandro blocked OH Kai, and then a service ace from MB Prévert (France), who came in as a substitute, tied the score at 19-19. From there, Paris Paris had the first set point at 24-22 with a block from MB Maasse and a spike from OH Panou, but a spike from OH Tamear (Estonia), who came in as a substitute, tied the score at 24-24 at the last minute and the game went to deuce. For a while, Paris was in the lead and the side-outs continued to be traded, but a block by OP Faganas put Tours in the lead at 27-28. In the end, S Coric stopped OH Panu and Tours took the set 27-29.
