Milan, where Ishikawa Yuki plays, played against Thessaloniki (Greece) on Wednesday, December 13th (local time) in the CEV Cup Round 8 and won 3-0 (25-21, 25-21, 25-19). Ishikawa Yuki was unable to participate due to a back injury.

Match Report
In the first set, Thessaloniki took the lead 2-5 with consecutive service aces from OH Torcev. However, Milano turned the game around with service aces from S Porro and OH Kaziyski to make it 12-10, and then with spikes from OH Melgarejo and blocks from MB Vitelli, they maintained a 21-18 lead. In the end, Milano won the set 25-21 with a spike from OP Regels (Belgium), who came in as a substitute.
In the second set, Thessaloniki again took the lead at 5-7 with consecutive points from OH Torchev's spike and service ace. However, Milan turned the game around with OP Dirlic's spike and OH Melgarejo's service ace to make it 10-8. Thessaloniki also turned the game around again with OH Van Halderen's service ace to make it 10-11, but OH Kaziyski's spike and S Pollo's service ace made it 15-12 again for Milan to take the lead. After that, it was a battle for side outs, but in the final stages, Milan got consecutive breaks with MB Vitelli's blocks and other efforts to get the set point at 24-19, and finally Milan took the set with OP Regels' spike to make it 25-21.
The third set started off well, but Thessaloniki made a series of mistakes, and Milano took the lead 8-6. Then, OH Kaziyski's serve, his own service ace, OP Dilic's spike, and the opponent's mistakes all combined to make 8 consecutive breaks, widening the gap to 18-8. Milano then sent opposite Regels and libero Colombo onto the court to replace the two outside players. This caused a breakdown in serve reception, allowing Thessaloniki to make 5 consecutive breaks, narrowing the gap to 20-16. However, the opponent's serve mistakes made it 25-19, and Milano took this set as well.
As a result, Milan won against Thessaloniki 3-0.
The next match will be against Thessaloniki away at 0:00 on Friday, December 22nd (Japan time). If Milan wins two or more sets in the next match, they will advance to the playoff round.
