In the seventh round of the French Men's Volleyball League, Paris, where Miyaura Kento plays, played against Nantes-Les-Zay on Friday, November 17th local time, and lost 1-3 (27-25, 21-25, 25-27, 20-25).
After the match, Miyaura Kento gave us a comment.
-How do you feel looking back on today's game?
Miyaura: We weren't able to win the sets we could have won, and our serves as a team weren't going well. My own serve wasn't very good either, so I think if we had been able to fix that a bit more during the game, we might have had a better chance of winning.
-You said your serve wasn't good, but what do you think looking back on the rest of your play?
Miyaura: There were some parts that didn't quite feel right in the first and second sets, but I started to get it from the third set onwards, and although I still made a lot of mistakes with my spikes, I think I was able to correct the things that weren't good during the match, so I think that was good. However, my opponent used B-quick and then launched a fast attack from the left, and I wasn't able to respond to that, so I think I should have corrected that more during the match.
-It's been about a month since the league started, and you've played a total of seven games. How do you feel so far?
Miyaura: We had some difficult moments in the first two games due to an injury to our starting setter, but we were able to win sets in today's game and in all the games we lost we were able to win sets, so we would like to keep trying to win those games.
-How do you feel about the French league compared to the Polish league you played in last season?
Miyaura: I think we are inferior physically in some areas, but our defense is good because we have a lot of smaller players, so I think that's the difference.
-What are your team goals and your personal goals for this season?
Miyaura: I don't have any particular goals set for myself personally, but as a team, we would like to get to the playoffs and win there. We have only just arrived in the French league, so there are still many things we don't understand, such as what kind of league it is or what each team is like, so I would like to set goals for myself as I explore these things.
