Kento Miyaura scored 17 points but struggled with serving, losing second straight match in Paris

In the 7th round of the French Men's Volleyball League, Paris, where Miyaura Kento plays, played against Nantes-Les-Zay on Friday, November 17th (local time) and lost 1-3 (27-25, 21-25, 25-27, 20-25). Miyaura Kento started and scored 17 points.

Match Report

In the first set, OH Panou's spikes and service aces gave Paris a 7-3 lead. Nantes Luzé then scored consecutive points with spikes from MB Montes and other players to turn the game around to 11-12. Paris also turned the game around again with a service ace from MB Wetter to lead 19-18, but Nantes Luzé was first to reach set point at 23-24 with a spike from OP Neves and other players. However, an error on the serve immediately afterwards sent the game into deuce. Then, with a block from MB Wetter, Paris turned the game around to take the side, and finally OH Panou scored a spike to take the set 27-25.

In the second set, Paris took an early lead of 8-4 with a spike from OH Panou and a service ace from S Paes. But then Nantes Luzé scored consecutive points with a block from MB Magnin, a spike from OH Bozo and a service ace to tie the score at 16-16. Then, with a spike from OP Neves, Nantes Luzé scored four consecutive breaks at once, leading to 18-24 and reaching set point first. Paris also scored consecutive breaks with a block from S Paes to catch up to 21-24, but in the end, Nantes Luzé won the set with a spike from OH Bozo and won the set 21-25.

In the third set, OP Miyaura from Paris and OH Bozo from Nantes Luzé started the match, trading points with each other until the score reached 8-8. In the middle of the match, each team managed to break the score, but the score difference remained at 15-15. Nantes Luzé then took a 16-19 lead with a spike from OP Neves, but after that, Paris made a series of mistakes and took the lead at 23-22. However, a block by MB Hütz (France), who entered the match as a substitute, gave Nantes Luzé the first set point at 23-24. The match went to deuce, but OP Miyaura was caught by a block from OH Bozo in the end, and Nantes Luzé took the set at 25-27.

In the fourth set, Paris made a series of mistakes from the beginning, giving Nantes-Lessay a 4-7 lead. A block by MB Massé, who came on as a substitute, temporarily reduced the lead to 9-10, but a block by MB Montes put Nantes-Lessay at 12-15, and a block by MB Hütz put Nantes-Lessay at 15-19. OH Kovacevic scored a service ace for Paris in the closing stages, but in the end OP Neves smashed the ball that was returned directly from the serve into the Paris court, giving Nantes-Lessay the set at 20-25.

As a result, Paris Saint-Germain lost 1-3 to Nantes-Rezay.
