On the fourth day of the second week of the Volleyball Nations League, France played against Cuba, winning 3-0 (25-18, 25-20, 25-20). After the match, Jean Patry, the French opposite, gave us some comments.
-How was today's game?
Patry: It's really cool to play a game like this. It's always a really good feeling when you play really well. And it's really nice to play a game like this in front of our home crowd like today. This was really important. It gave us strength and helped us get going right from the start with the win.
- I think you were in pretty good form today (you were the best scorer), but what was the reason for your good form?
Patry: I don't know. Personally, today's match was the first one where I started from the beginning. ... Good question (laughs). I don't know, I like these kinds of matches and I felt a lot of joy playing in front of our fans. Maybe that was the reason.
- (Ishikawa) Have you met Yuki yet?
Patry: I met him at the hotel. He is my friend and I like him. Also, Japan is doing very well in the VNL. They are winning a lot of games. This is really, really good for Yuuki. He is a great player, so it's good that his team is also great.
