On the second day of the second week of the Volleyball Nations League, the match between France and Argentina was played, with Argentina winning 3-1 (22-25, 26-24, 25-21, 25-20). After the match, Argentina's Agustin Rosell made a comment.
-How was the match?
Rosell: It was a very important win for us. It was a difficult and spicy match. The challenges didn't work, the referee... I don't want to talk about them, but it was a very good match. We played amazingly and I'm very happy. This win was very important for the rankings that will lead to the Olympic Games, so I'm very happy. We'll celebrate and have fun today, but from tomorrow we have to think about the next match against Bulgaria.
What was the reason for today's victory?
Rosell: We needed to play well to win, and we did that. We needed to be aggressive in our serve and attack, and we did that. We blocked well. We did those things very well. I'm very happy.
-As was the case today, when you play with setter Sanchez, you're like a fish in water.
Rosell: It's very easy to work with him. I've known him for a long time. I played with him in France for two seasons before coming to Italy, so I'm happy to be playing with him again. He's also a friend and we have a very good combination on the code.
-What are the differences between playing for Argentina and for your club team, Milan?
Rosell: Argentina is my country. It feels more meaningful. I represent many people in the country, so the responsibility is greater. Of course, playing for Milan is amazing. But there is a big difference between playing for a club team and playing for Argentina. We can feel a lot from this national team uniform. We love this uniform. And it's really amazing to be able to play in this uniform again this year.
-The next match is against Bulgaria, and after that there's a match against Japan.
Rosell: My match against Yuuki (Ishikawa). I'm really looking forward to it. I haven't seen him here yet, but I'd love to meet him. He's a great guy and I'm very happy to play with him. And now we're going up against each other, I'm sure it's going to be a good match. And I think it's going to be a fun match for both of us.
