In the Italian men's volleyball league Serie A, Milan, where Ishikawa Yuki plays, played the fourth match of the playoff quarter-finals against Perugia at home on Sunday, April 2nd local time, and won 3-2 (25-15, 19-25, 19-25, 28-26, 15-13).
After the match, Milan's Jean Patrie (OP, France) gave us some comments.
-Congratulations on your victory.
Patry: Thank you. It was a very tough game, but also very exciting. There was a lot of spectators and a lot of pressure. This was our last chance to take the game to the fifth round, and we played very well. We played very well and very strong. We started very well, and each of us did our part. We were truly a team in the early part of the game. We have to keep it that way until the next game.
- You seemed to be struggling until the third game of the quarterfinals, but today you seemed to have improved a lot. What do you think about this?
Patry: Yes, it was difficult because I had to hit a lot of difficult balls. But as you say, I felt good today. I felt good and, most importantly, the team won. That's the most important thing.
--What did you think of Ishikawa's performance today, Patry?
Patry: What about my partner Yuki? He played great. We need him. He is very important for the team. I think he made a big contribution today.
