In the 23rd round of the Polish Men's Volleyball League (Przlyga), Nysza, which is in 9th place and includes Miyaura Kento, played against 8th place Lublin at home on Saturday, February 4th local time, and won 3-0 (25-21, 25-18, 25-23).
After the match, Nisa's Wassim Bentala (Tunisia) gave us some comments.
-How do you feel looking back on today's game?
Ventala: The match against Lublin was expected to be difficult. They have two good middle blockers and good serve reception, so we had to serve especially hard. By doing so, we tried to make their middle attacks less effective, and we were able to do that from the first serve until the end of the third set. Today's match was very important for us to get into the playoffs, so this win is very big for us.
--Your performance today was amazing, especially your serve.
Ventala: Today was a good serving day. Our serving hasn't been good in the last few matches, so everyone has been focusing on serving this week, especially in practice. I've been more conscious of serving well myself, because I need my serve to help the team and it was a very important factor for us to win, especially today's match.
--What do you pay attention to when serving?
Ventala: It depends on the situation. In the beginning of the match, I think about my serve to get me going, and then it depends on the situation. Well, in close situations, like 16-16, I try to find an opening with my serve to get a break point. In those difficult situations, I try to focus as much as possible on my serve and my block.
-What kind of player is Miyaura Kento?
Ventala: I love Kent. He is very polite and very strong at the same time. I have never played with a player who can hit such a powerful spike. Amazing. Kent is a very good opposite, very strong, very technical and very dynamic player. I love Kent. We have a good relationship and he is a great friend of mine.
- Please give us your comments ahead of the next match against Xabierce.
Ventala: It will be a difficult away game. The match in Zabierci is, how should I put it, a very difficult stadium and a very difficult team to play against. So it's important to go into the away ground with more confidence and to keep scoring points to win. You never know what will happen.
