In the 20th round of the Polish Men's Volleyball League (Przlyga), Nysa, which Miyaura Kento plays for and is in 5th place in the league, played against 4th place Zaksa Kedzierzyn Kozile (hereinafter referred to as Zaksa) away on Monday, January 16th local time, and lost 0-3 (22-25, 19-25, 21-25).
After the match, NISA's Miyaura Kento gave us a comment.
--How do you feel looking back on today's game?
Miyaura: I had the impression that Zakusa's serve was good, and conversely, we were also hitting good serves, but I think we made some mistakes. I was the same way. If we can fix that... When I say fix, it's difficult because the gym is different, but the next game is also important, so I think it would be good if we could switch gears without being negative.
- In the first half of the season, you won 3-0 against the same opponent at home, but this time you lost 0-3. What do you think was different compared to the first half?
Miyaura: It's difficult, but I guess it would be my serve. Of course there are good and bad days for my serve... Last time it was good, and this time it wasn't particularly bad either, but I made a lot of mistakes. Other than that, I gave up a lot of service aces, so I think that's something I need to fix.
- Your opponent, Saksa, is one of the most popular and skilled teams in Poland. How did you feel playing at this venue today?
Miyaura: I thought it was amazing how many people were in the audience. There was a lot of booing when the ball was hit, so I thought the fans' cheers were amazing and that there were a lot of passionate fans.
--Even in that situation, you managed to score a service ace in the first set. After you scored, you made a gesture towards the Nisa supporters to further encourage them.
Miyaura: I thought it would be nice to create a lively atmosphere, so I did it.
--You have games against strong teams next week and the week after. How do you plan to tackle this from here on out, both as a team and as an individual?
Miyaura: We have a lot of important games coming up as we head into the playoffs, so as a team we need to switch gears and prepare for the next game. Personally, I had some ace shots today but I also made some mistakes, so of course I'll continue to take risks and attack when I come on as a pinch server, but I also want to be conscious of the importance of precision when attacking in practice.
