Match Report

In the first set, Bielsko-Biala made a series of mistakes from the beginning, while Nisa scored one after another with high spikes from OH Gerdjot to take a big lead of 6-1.

Nisa's momentum continued after that.

While Bielsko-Biala struggled to score spikes, Nisa broke them down with their serves and OP Ventala scored a sure goal, giving them a large lead of 20-12 going into the final stages.

With a block from MB Abramovic and consecutive aces from OH Kwasovski, Nysa sealed the deal with three consecutive breaks and took the first set with ease, 25-14.

In the second set, MB Zerba scored a sharp quick play and then blocked Bielsko-Biala's OP Sinoski, who came on as a substitute, to take the break, and Nisa took the lead from the beginning of the set as well, 4-2.

After that, the score gap was not widened for a while, but then Nisa's setter Zukowski dropped a toss feint into the opponent's court to make it 13-10. From there, Zerba scored a series of quick hits, and Ventara countered with a strong serve from relief server Miyaura and scored a spike, putting Nisa ahead at 16-11.

Bielsko-Biala fought back with spikes from OP Sinoski, but Nisa's serve was effective and she was able to distribute the ball evenly to the five attackers, so she continued to break, and finally OP Ventala scored a spike to make it 25-18, and Nisa took the set.

In the third set, the middle blockers of both teams traded blows in the early stages, and Bielsko-Biala's MB Shek in particular got three consecutive side outs with his own quick plays.

The game continued to be a close match with both teams scoring spikes until the score was 10-10, but Nisa's setter, Szczuk, who was brought in as a relief server in the middle of the game, scored three consecutive breaks, including an ace of his own, to give Nisa a large lead at 18-13.

After that, Nisa scored points with OH Gerjot and OP Ventala, who showed a high success rate in this match, and finally scored a point with a soft hit from Ventala to take the set 25-21 and win in straight sets.

The MVP was OP Ventala, who scored 21 points (including 1 block) and recorded an impressive attack success rate of 741 TP3T.

With this, Nisa has risen to provisional 4th place with a total of 6 wins, 4 losses and 19 points.

In the next match, they will face Katowice, who are in 7th place, at home on Tuesday, 22 November at 18:30 local time (2:30 the next day Japan time).

Thoughts etc.

It was a safe game.

It was a bit too one-sided for Nisa, so it might have been boring for the viewers (lol).

However, Nisa's setter Zukowski, who had not used the mid-range shot much up until now, used it quite aggressively in this match, and it was particularly rewarding to see Zelva respond by scoring a succession of goals (a 1001 TP and 3 T!)

I hope this will encourage him to use the mid-range shot aggressively even against strong opponents! In fact, please use it!

It also seemed like we got revenge against Bielsko-Biala for the one-sided defeat we suffered at the hands of Zawierce in the previous match (laughs).

However, it was unfortunate that Miyaura had few appearances.
Well, Ventala was in good form today so it can't be helped, but I would like to see Miyaura in the starting lineup at least once, and Miyaura as MVP.

Let's look forward to seeing if that time comes in the future.

Another thing that I'm a bit curious about is OH Gerjot.

Although he was able to hit a number of high, wide spikes on the day, it seems as though the powerful serves he showed at the beginning of the season have recently faded.

It's good that our serve receive is improving, but it wouldn't be good if that led to our serves becoming weaker.

I'd also like to see Gerjot's Ace.

Gerjot, the man I want to see try harder

Also, it seemed to me that Bielsko-Biala was able to score spikes too easily in the third set (Bielsko-Biala's team attack success rate in the third set was 761 TP3T, while Nisa also scored a whopping 73% in this set...).

A high success rate for your opponent's attacks means that you are not putting pressure on them with your serves or blocks.

If we play like this we won't be able to beat the top teams.

The result was a straight 3-0 win, but there is probably no reason to be happy about the content of the third set in particular.

In the next match in Katowice, I want to see Nysa serve even harder and hit hard until the end!!
