Match Report

In the first set, Nisa consistently got side outs thanks to spikes from El Graoui, who was in the starting lineup for the first time this season, but they made frequent mistakes and were unable to take advantage of consecutive scoring opportunities in the early stages.

With the score at 10-11, Nisa was caught in a series of blocks by the opponent, and the score fell to 10-13.

After that, Nisa's OP Ventara made several spike errors, making the score 13-16, and Miyaura took to the court in place of Ventara.

Miyaura scored a point with a spike to encourage his team, but they were unable to close the gap until the end, and JW took the first set with a spike from OH Fornal making the score 22-25.

In the second set, Ventala scored a high spike early on, followed by a good serve from El Graoui that was blocked by Jankowski, giving Japan a good start with a 5-1 lead.

However, from there, JW quickly tied the score at 7-7 with OP Boyer scoring many goals from some good serves from his teammates.

Boyer's momentum continued after that, and with NISZA's OH Gerjot being thrown off balance in serve reception, JW extended their lead to 13-18.

Nisa made two substitutions, bringing in Miyaura and setter Szczurek in an attempt to improve the situation, but JW further widened the gap with aces from Fornal, and finally MB Gradir's quick shot gave JW the win 18-25.

In the third set, Miyaura will be starting for the first time this season.

In response to this selection, Miyaura started scoring with spikes that knocked the opponent's block away from him from the beginning, but Nisa was unable to score consecutive points.

In fact, JW's serve was more effective and he gradually widened the gap in points.

With JW leading by four points at 8-12, Boyer exploded again, scoring three consecutive service aces to widen the gap to 8-15.

Nisa's serve receiving troubles did not improve after that, and he gave up aces to JW's OH Klewno and MB Wiśniewski.

In the end, with a spike from Klevno, JW defeated Nisa in straight sets, 13-25.

The MVP was JW's Boyer, who scored 18 points (3 from serves and 1 from blocks) with an attack success rate of 641 TP3T.

As a result, Nisa's overall record is 4 wins, 2 losses and 13 points, but they maintain their provisional third place position.

Next week, they will face 5th-placed Olsztyn at home on Wednesday, November 2nd at 16:30 local time (0:30 the next day Japan time).

Thoughts etc.

First of all, it was great to see Miyaura in action as an opposite attacker!!

Although he only played a little over one set in total, his 60% attack success rate against the strong JW opponent was impressive.

In a previous interview, you said that you had the makings, and seeing your performance this time, I am convinced of those words.

Miyaura can compete in the Polish league!!!

If I could be greedy, I would have liked to have been able to perform better with my serves, but as they were the top-ranked team, it wasn't going to be that easy.

In this match, Nisa's weak serve reception, which had been an issue for her from the beginning, was fully apparent.

Gerjot in particular was targeted and constantly being broken down.

I think that unless Nisa overcomes this challenge, she will continue to struggle in the future.

However, in this match, captain Kfausovski, who is usually in the starting lineup, did not take to the court even once.

It might have been a little easier if he had been there, but I hope Gerzhot will work hard on his serve reception in order to join the Polish national team in the future!!

Also, your serve wasn't good that day, Gerjot!

I am strict because I have high expectations! (laughs)

Also, Boyer was amazing in JW.

In the second set, it seemed like a spike would decide the game, and setter Toniutti was tossing the ball to him again and again, and three consecutive service aces in the third set pushed Nisa into despair...

MVP Boyer's attack

All the other players were also solid and had no weaknesses.

JW still has all of their starting lineup from last season, when they finished as runners-up, and they are the top contenders to win the championship, having yet to lose this season, including in the Super Cup.

But in the rematch in the second half, we will strengthen our serve reception and attack with our serves to take the win!!
