On October 14th local time, the 4th round match of the Polish Men's Volleyball League between Radom and Nysa was held, and Nysa, with Miyaura Kento on the team, defeated Radom 3-1 (25-22, 25-21, 19-25, 27-25).
Miyaura played as a relief server and participated in all sets. He scored a total of three points, two service aces and one spike.
--How do you feel looking back on today's game?
Miyaura: In the first and second sets, our serves were working well, so we were able to play the way we wanted, but in the third and fourth sets, our opponents were serving well, and we had a lot of difficult times with our attacks going side-to-side. But in the end, we were able to push through with our serves, so I think that was good.
--Miyaura also had two consecutive service aces.
Miyaura: I was in good form and I'm glad I was able to score two goals.
--You've played four games in the Polish League so far, including today's. What are your impressions of the league so far?
Miyaura: I think it's a very high-level league because there are a lot of great players and high-level players from each country. But that doesn't mean I can't compete, because I think I can, so I want to show more in practice in order to get a chance to play in games. Today, when I played in a game, I was replaced by (opposite) Ventara, but I made a mistake today, so I need to make sure I make the shot.
- Bentala, who is competing for the position, is a very impressive player (Tunisia national team, and has been the team's top scorer in all four games this season).
Miyaura: Yes, as you can see, I think he is a great athlete. I may be inferior in terms of height, but I think I can compete in other areas, so I would like to make the most of my strengths.
-What do you think of your current team?
Miyaura: I have the impression that Polish people are quite kind, and everyone has been so kind to me, so I've been able to do things in a way that is comfortable for me.
-Is communication okay?
Miyaura: There are still some areas where I can't speak the language myself, but I think I can do it to a certain extent. I'm also working hard to improve my language skills by inputting and outputting on my own, and communicating well.
--The league will likely continue for a while, so what are your team goals and your individual goals?
Miyaura: I think our first goal as a team is to make it to the playoffs, so we'll be fighting game by game (this season in the Polish league, if you finish 8th or higher out of 16 teams in the regular round, you can advance to the playoffs, and as of October 14th, Nysa is provisionally in 1st place). Personally, I want to get a chance to play. In that sense, I'll give it my all in practice, and on top of that, I'll improve myself in terms of volleyball. I'd also like to improve in other areas as well. Anyway, I'll do my best here and hope to carry it on to the next one.
