The second round of the Polish men's volleyball first division (Przlyga) was held in Lubin on October 6th local time, where Nysza, where Miyaura Kento plays, played against Rubin. Nysza won 3-0 (25-12, 25-20, 25-17) to record their second consecutive opening win! However, Miyaura did not get a chance to play.
Rubin is the team that Yanagida (JTEKT) and Sekita (JTEKT) played for as the "Double Masahiro" team. OH Gerzsod (Poland) from Nysa also played for Rubin last season together with Sekita.
On this day, Gerjot was merciless against his former team, hitting four aces (laughs). If he had been able to perform like this from the start last season without any injuries, Sekita would have had a much easier time.
Also, the opposite Bentala (Tunisia) was in top form that day, scoring 17 points, with a spike success rate of 631 TP3T. Of course, Bentala was the MVP. With such an overwhelming performance, it's hard not to understand why Miyaura didn't get a chance to play.
However, I think there were chances for him to be a relief server, but it's unfortunate that he didn't get a chance to play. I understand why they didn't make a double substitution because starting setter Zukowski (Croatia) is taller (196cm, Miyaura is 190cm), but I hope that Coach Prinski will use Miyaura in every game because he has a good serve (laughs).
On the other hand, Rubin struggled a lot with his opponent's serve. A total of 10 aces in three sets is not good. Among them, Bulgar (Austria) on the outside was doing his best. Bulgar is a veteran player who has played for the powerful Italian team Perugia, and has been playing in Poland since last season.
