On October 2nd local time, a match between Nysa, where Miyaura Kento plays, and Suwałki was held in the Polish men's volleyball first division (Przlyga), with Nysa winning 3-1 (29-27, 22-25, 25-21, 25-19) against Suwałki. They ended their opening match at home with a win. Miyaura started on the bench in this match, but made his presence felt as a substitute.
Nisa had two active attackers. Bentala (Tunisia), who plays opposite Miyaura, spiked the ball, including difficult high balls, and scored 22 points including serves and blocks. Outside player Gerdzhot (Poland), who played with Sekita at Rubin last season, also stood out with his height and sharp spikes, scoring 17 points and a 63% attack success rate, leading the team. He was also selected as the MVP of this match.
Miyaura had three opportunities to play, in the first, second and fourth sets, but was used in different ways each time.
His first appearance in the Polish League was as a relief server at the end of a set. He made a sharp jump serve near the end line and it looked like he was going to be an ace, but it was out after a challenge. It was a shame. His second appearance came as a substitute for two players. This time he scored a spike and got his first Polish League point! His third appearance came as a substitute for Ventala at the end of a set. (To be honest, I didn't really understand the intention behind this substitution, but) here too, his sharp spike cut through the opponent's court and scored a point.
As a result, he scored a total of two points that day. Since he only took two shots, his success rate was 1001 TP 3T! (laughs). Despite having few opportunities to play, he made his presence felt from the opening game. I hope he will also show us a service ace next time!
Regular opposite Ventala is a very strong and stable player, so it will be very tough to take the regular spot from him, but I hope he will continue to make the most of the few chances he gets and demonstrate his skills.

However, the fact that he was given so many opportunities to play in the first match at least shows that the coach has a lot of trust in him. Great job, Miyaken!
The team is also supporting me!

Nisa is a team that was promoted to the first division last season, and this season is their second year. Last season was a tough start with 12 straight losses, so I think it's a big deal for the club to win the opening game this season. Let's keep going and aim for the playoffs!
Although Suwalki was sadly defeated, I was impressed with the tossing work of new setter Sanchez (Argentina) (especially his sets to the right side), and his opposite Filipiak also had great finishing ability, so I think they will be a fearsome force if their combination works better in the future.
Nysa's next match will be against Rubin away on Thursday, October 6th at 18:45 local time (1:45 am Japan time). Please refer to the information below on how to watch the Polish league.
