The world's top volleyball league, the Italian Serie A Superliga, kicks off on Saturday, October 9th! Many superstars from around the world, such as Juan Torena, Nugapet, Leon, and Kaziski, will be participating, and Japan's Yuki Ishikawa will be playing for Milan again this year, following last season. Another player who is attracting a lot of attention this season is Yuji Nishida, who made a surprise transfer to Vibo Valentia.
The Serie A league is full of interest in the performance of these two Japanese stars, and this season, all matches will be streamed live and archived on Volleyball TV, which also helped out with the Nations League! What a convenient world we live in! (laughs)

Other than the pricing plans, such as creating a Volleyball TV account, there are not many changes to the information explained during the Nations League, so please refer to the article below.
What's different this time is the pricing plan.
This time, you can choose from two plans: a monthly plan and a yearly plan. The monthly plan costs $7.99 (approximately 880 yen at an exchange rate of 1 dollar = 110 yen), and the yearly plan costs $74.99 (approximately 8,250 yen), so if you simply pay for both for a year, the yearly plan will save you about 2,000 yen. However, since Serie A will run until May, including the playoffs, if you only want to enjoy Serie A for eight months, the monthly plan is a better deal.
But there is something else to note here. In addition to this year's Serie A, Volleyball TV will also be broadcasting next year's Nations League and World Championships. The Nations League will be held from June to July, and the World Championships from August to September, so if you absolutely want to watch up until the World Championships, the annual plan is a great deal!
Either plan can be purchased for free for 14 days, so you can decide whether it's right for you or not.
The schedule for the first week of Serie A is as follows:
*Times are Japan time
10th (Sun)
1:00~ Padua - Civitanova
22:30 Piacenza - Ravenna
Monday 11th
1:00 Perugia - Cisterna
1:00~ Monza - Modena
3:30~ Taranto - Vibo Valentia
13th (Wed)
3:30~ Trento - Verona
Nishida's first opponent is Taranto, who was promoted from A2 this season. It's a game he wants to win at all costs. However, due to the time difference, the game will be at 3:30 a.m. on Sunday in Japan, which is tough (lol).
By the way, Milan, where Ishikawa Yuki plays, will be absent in the first week and will be appearing from the second week. Currently scheduled to play their first match at home against Monza at 1:00 a.m. on Monday, October 18th, Japan time.
It looks like I'll be staying up late more often and having a tough morning the next day, but I'm still looking forward to it! Let's cheer on these two samurai from Japan as they do their thing in Italy!!
