Men's OQT, a preview of the noteworthy teams: Poland

May 22, 2016

Following the women's tournament, the men's final Olympic qualifying tournament will begin next weekend.
I am also hoping for the Japanese team to qualify.
Here I will introduce the foreign teams that I personally would like to see go to the Olympics.

Poland (FIVB Ranking 2nd)

I was in Poland until February this year (for volleyball, of course), so I have a very special attachment to the Polish team.
Despite only losing one game at last year's World Cup, they finished third due to set ratio and were unable to secure a place in the Olympics.
Then, in the European qualifiersDeadly battle with GermanyThey won and advanced to the final qualifying round in third place in Europe.
If all goes well, we will be able to qualify by placing in the top three.Rivalry: AustraliaThere are others like that, so we can't let our guard down.
The country's name is "Polska" in Polish. Let's cheer them on by shouting "Polska!" (Cha-cha-cha!).

Projected starting lineup

Featured Players

#6 Bartosz Kurek

Born August 29, 1988 (27 years old)
Height: 205cm
Highest point: 352cm
Position: Opposite
Club: Asseco Resovia Rzeszów (Poland) → JT Sanders

Poland's main gun, who is a prolific scorer and the successor to Vlazuli, who was instrumental in the team's victory at the 2014 World Championships.
He was originally a wing spiker, and was a talented player who won the MVP in the World League, but he also shows his full potential as an opposite. (Perhaps he is better suited to the opposite role?)
It is no exaggeration to say that the fate of Poland rests in his hands.
He has decided to play for the JT Thunders in Japan from next season, so he will likely become a more familiar player to Japanese people.

#17 Paweł Zatorski

Born June 21, 1990 (25 years old)
Height: 184cm
Highest point: 328cm
Position: Libero
Club: Zaksa Kędzierzyn-Koźle (Poland)

The guardian angel who supports the Polish team from behind.
After Antiga became the coach, he took over the position of starting libero from Ignatiac.
His defining characteristic is his athleticism, running freely up and down the court.
He also acts as a mood maker for the team, always keeping in constant communication with his teammates.
By the way, the name of his club is pronounced "Zakusa Kenjejinkozile" lol.

By the way, I met him in Poland.
“See you again in Japan!”
So I hope to see you again at the next tournament.

So,
Polska! (Cha-cha-cha!)
