OH Bottolo closed the set with a service ace to put Italy in a 25-17 lead and put Italy in a commanding position to win the championship.

The third set was a close one at the beginning, but OH Atanasov scored consecutive attacks from S Nikolov's serve to put Bulgaria ahead at 9-11. Further attacks from OH Nikolov and a service ace from OH Atanasov put Bulgaria ahead at 10-15. Italy brought in OH Porro, but Bulgaria continued to extend their lead with further service aces from OH Nikolov and OH Atanasov, taking the set back at 17-25.

In the fourth set, Italy took a 3-8 lead with consecutive breaks from OH Bottolo's serve, including with his own pipe attacks. Bulgaria brought in OP Antov, who continued to score points, but mistakes widened the gap to 18-10. Italy then made six consecutive breaks, including four aces, from OH Bottolo's serve in the closing stages, putting them at 24-10 and putting them on match point. MB Anzani then scored a quick shot to make it 25-10 and give Italy a 3-1 victory.

Italy achieved their second consecutive victory, following their victory in the previous tournament in 2022. The women's team also won, meaning Italy won both the men's and women's titles at this year's World Championships.
