Japan beat Germany 3-1 to start off the Chiba tournament with a win! Returning player Yuki Ishikawa scores the most points with 22 [Men's Volleyball Nations League]

In the third week of the men's qualifying round of the Volleyball Nations League 2025 (Chiba, Japan), the Japanese national team faced Germany on Wednesday, July 16th (local time) and won 3-1 (21-25, 25-20, 25-23, 25-20).

Japan lost the first set 21-25 due to their own mistakes, but in the second set they scored points mainly through spikes from Ishikawa Yuki and Miyaura Kento, who returned to the national team for this match, and took the set 25-20.

In the third set, Japan struggled with the spikes of Germany's opposite John, but with a service ace from Japan's opposite Miyaura, they came back in the final minutes and took the set 25-23.
