In the Italian men's volleyball league Serie A, Milan, where Ishikawa Yuki plays, played the fourth match of the playoff quarter-finals against Perugia at home on Sunday, April 2nd local time, and won 3-2 (25-15, 19-25, 19-25, 28-26, 15-13).
After the match, Milan's Paolo Porro (S, Italy) gave us some comments.
-How was today's game?
Porro: It was a good game. We beat a great team that is at the top of the table. I'm also very happy with the support of such a large crowd (around 4,700 people on the day). But now we have to prepare for our next game, our final one against Perugia.
--Your performance today was incredible, with five service aces, but why do you think you were able to demonstrate such strength?
Porro: I played the match with a lot of energy, and my teammates and the crowd were great. I'm really happy with today's result, but I'll be preparing for the next match soon.
--After Ishikawa got injured and went to the bench in the fifth set, Milan was short an outside hitter on the court, but Porro hit a service ace and Milan won the match. What were you thinking at that moment?
Porro: Unfortunately, I got injured towards the end of the game and had to go to the bench, but we believed we could do it and ended up winning the game with a different player. It wasn't a problem. However, Yuki needs to rest for a few days and prepare for the last game.
