In the 23rd round of the Polish Men's Volleyball League (Przlyga), Nysza, which is in 9th place and includes Miyaura Kento, played against 8th place Lublin at home on Saturday, February 4th local time, and won 3-0 (25-21, 25-18, 25-23).
After the match, Nisa's Miyaura Kento gave us some comments.
-How do you feel looking back on today's game?
Miyaura: I think we were able to widen the gap by serving well at the critical moments. Our serves were really good today, and Ventala was really in the zone, so that was a really good thing for the team. Today's match against Lublin was a very important one for the team, and it was a direct showdown between the 8th and 9th place teams, so I'm really glad we won.
How was your individual performance?
Miyaura: I think it was good that I was able to get a break in the second set. In the third set, I was given the same feeling (I was used as a relief server from the start), and I made a mistake. Of course, I took a risk and served, but the fact that it ended up hitting the net is something I need to reflect on.
- Unlike usual, you were serving right from the start of the set. Was that mentally difficult?
Miyaura: Yes, I didn't really think about it that much, but it was just one mistake. It was just one mistake, but it was the first one, so it was a very important one that affected the atmosphere of the team. After I made the mistake, I felt like, "Oh no, I messed up."
- Please say a few words about the next match against Xabierche.
Miyaura: As for the next match against Xavierche, of course the number of league matches is decreasing, so even winning one makes a big difference, and even losing one makes a huge difference. Personally, I may have a chance to serve, so I will really focus on the match in front of me and do my best to contribute to the team.
